In 2011 and 2012 Hampshire Judo has been involved in the “Hampshire Games” (previously Hampshire Youth Games) in partnership with Hampshire County Council and Sport Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
This involves running local events in each of the local authority areas for under 12s, before a main event. The main event is normally held in Aldershot in June, with the local events happening between January and June. In 2012 the main event is on June 16th.
In 2012, the Hampshire Judo Team Championships will be run for the first time. This is aimed at 12-16 and 16+ year old Judoka. The aim being to increase participation in competition within Hampshire in a team format.
