On a glorious sunny day in Petersfield, children from around East Hampshire participated in a fun competition at the Taro Centre, Petersfield.
The event was supported generously by East Hampshire District Council and feedback from parents and coaches was that everyone had a good time and had a good experience. This is the first Judo competition to be held in Petersfield in many many years and as such was a great acheivement.

The categories were grouped loosely and the category names were chosen by the children in the category.
Additional matches were held to give some children some extra matches:
An unrecorded exhibition match was also held between Alex Thompson (age 4) and table official Steve Lainsley (age… lets just say substantially more than 4). Sadly Steve was unable to beat the powerful Harwood Nursery School student and lost by Ippon.
