Hampshire Judo AGM

Hampshire Judo Association will be holding it’s Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 19th May commencing at 7:00pm.

The meeting will be held at Fleming Park Leisure Centre in Eastleigh.

A detailed agenda will follow nearer the time. However there are a number of positions on the Committee that need to be elected that I’d like to draw to the attention of our members. These are:-

  • Treasurer
  • Grading Co-Ordinator
  • Competitions Co-Ordinator
  • Coaching Co-Ordinator
  • Refereeing Co-Ordinator
  • Table Officials Co-Ordinator
  • County Welfare Officer
  • County Senior Examiner
  • Special Needs Co-Ordinator
  • Representative to Southern Area Judo

(Please note that the Roles document also included the County Coach, the committee decided last year to not fill this role currently, as the work is being very effectively done by Chris Doherty of the BJA.)

Nominations are therefore invited for interested parties to serve on the committee in these  roles.

  1. Nominations of individuals to sit on the Management Committee shall be sent in writing to the Secretary not later than 14 days before the biennial General Meeting together with the written consent of the individual to serve if elected. Nominations shall be made and seconded by Member Clubs. Such nominations are to be circulated to constituent clubs and to be received by the constituent clubs no less than 7 days prior to the Annual General Meeting
  2. In the absence of any nominations made in accordance with 9a above, nominations will be accepted from those persons attending the Annual General Meeting. Individual self-nominations will be accepted, provided the self-nomination is seconded from the floor.
  3. Nominations made in accordance with 6a above will ALWAYS take preference over procedures in 6b above which will ONLY BE ACCEPTED in the absence of any nominations made in accordance with 6a above

## All existing Committee members have indicated there willingness to stand for election. There have been two nominations received for the post of Hampshire Treasurer. Val Kelly from AWE JC and Roland Fugh from Fleming Park.
