Hampshire Team Championships (Round 4) Report

On Sunday February 2nd, the penultimate round of the 2013/2014 Hampshire Team Championships took place at St Marys Leisure Centre in central Southampton.

The story of the day was that the leaders Priory Judo Club lost their first match in the series. Southampton University (last years champions) defeated Priory in a very tight match, where all but the final contest were won by only a Yuko; a sign of how closely matched the teams were.

Hosts Team Solent Judo continued to struggle in this series and walked away without a single match win on the day. Although their rookie female player dominated the female category again now having not lost a contest since round 2.


Player of the day would have to be Kee Yien Chin of Priory Judo Club who won every contest by impressive ippon throws.
